Anthropic's February 2026 announcement says Claude conversations will remain free of ads. It rules out sponsored links beside conversations, advertiser influence on responses and unsolicited third-party product placement. [1]

## Check the recommendation itself

An ad-free policy does not establish that a recommendation is accurate, current or suitable for you. Ask for the criteria and sources behind a comparison, then check the product details that matter before spending money.

For developer tools, that includes supported environments, licensing, data handling and ongoing costs. A polished explanation can still omit one of those constraints.
