Read the DeepSeek-V3-0324 model card before deploying it

Use the exact checkpoint, license and deployment requirements when comparing this historical release.

DeepSeek-V3-0324 is a specific published model checkpoint. Its official Hugging Face page contains the model card, weights, license and deployment guidance [1]. The suffix matters when reproducing a result from our original social post.

Keep the version in your records

A claim about one checkpoint does not automatically apply to every service using the DeepSeek name. Record the model identifier, serving provider and generation settings when comparing outputs.

The model page identifies an MIT license and provides deployment material [1]. Read that material before assuming the weights will run on your existing machine. Downloadable weights do not establish that a particular laptop has enough memory or that a hosted endpoint uses the same configuration.

Compare useful work

Choose a small set of tasks with answers you can verify. For coding, include both the requested behavior and cases that must remain unchanged. For structured output, validate the result against the schema your application accepts.

Record failed cases as well as successful examples. Our launch caption's claims about speed and efficiency are not measurements of your deployment. A useful comparison measures response time, output quality and operating cost under the actual setup you intend to use.
