Pick a mockup that fits the actual design

Unblast, MockupNest and Mockuuups offer different ways to present a finished layout.

Our mockup carousel listed Unblast, MockupNest and Mockuuups. A mockup places a design inside a presentation scene, such as a device screen, book or package. It helps show context; it does not replace testing the actual design.

Choose the right kind of file

Unblast collects mockup templates [1]. MockupNest offers downloadable PSD mockups and online editing [2]. Mockuuups provides a generator with device and print scenes [3].

Check whether you need an editable file or a quick generated image. Confirm that the scene's dimensions and perspective suit the artwork. Stretching a screenshot to fit an unrelated device can make the presentation misleading.

Keep the presentation honest

Use the actual interface or artwork rather than replacing difficult details with a polished placeholder. Make sure text remains readable at the size the image will appear in a portfolio or social post.

Inspect the license and download terms for the specific asset. The original caption described free resources, but a library may also contain paid products or subscription features. Save the source with the exported mockup so you can find the terms and reproduce the image later. A convincing scene should clarify what you made, not hide how it works.
