1X's 2025-10-28 NEO announcement opened preorders and described planned home deliveries starting in 2026. The social caption's suggestion that there was no waiting did not match that launch schedule. [1]

## Separate autonomous work from guided tasks

The company described chores such as folding laundry and organizing shelves. It also said owners could schedule a 1X Expert to guide tasks NEO did not yet know. The release expected early owners to receive basic capabilities that would expand through software updates. These are the manufacturer's claims, rather than independent evidence of performance in every home. [1]

Before ordering a home robot, ask which tasks it performs independently today and which require a person to help. Ask what that person can see, when access begins and how you can stop it.

A demonstration in a prepared room does not establish reliable operation around your furniture, pets or stairs. Request the delivery terms, support policy and specific limitations for the product you would receive.
