Read Huang's China market-share statement in context

The October 2025 statement described NVIDIA's China assumptions at that time, not every chip already in use.

Jensen Huang told reporters on 2025-10-28 that NVIDIA had removed China from its forecast and was assuming no business from that market. Reuters' interview transcript records his description of a drop from 95 percent market share to zero. [1]

Keep the statement tied to its date

Huang discussed possible changes in policy and access to the Chinese market. His comments described the company's position and planning assumptions at that moment. They were not a count of every NVIDIA processor already installed in China. [1]

A sales forecast, a market-share estimate and an installed base measure different things. When a headline uses zero, ask which of those quantities it describes and which products the speaker means.

The transcript is useful evidence of what NVIDIA's chief executive said. For a business decision today, check the current product rules and company disclosures rather than assuming an October 2025 statement remains unchanged.
