Review an OpusClip thumbnail before publishing
The tool can generate a draft from a video, but its content and readability still need a human check.

OpusClip announced its GPT-4o-powered thumbnail tool on May 7, 2025. The described workflow accepted a video link or uploaded file and could also use an optional image of a face or subject [1].
Start from the actual video
The announcement said the generator considered the video's content and genre when producing a thumbnail [1]. Give it material you have permission to use, then inspect the draft against what the video actually contains.
Check the wording, facial details and any visual claim. A thumbnail should help someone understand why to watch without implying a result the video never demonstrates.
Check it at a small size
View the result at roughly the size it will appear in a feed. If the text becomes unreadable or the subject disappears, revise the composition before exporting.
The original announcement offered the feature on a free tier and described generation in minutes [1]. Those were launch terms, not a guarantee of today's allowance or turnaround time.
A generated thumbnail is a candidate design. The announcement's performance language does not establish that a particular image will improve your channel's click-through rate. Evaluate it using your own publishing results.
