Compare the Saudi and UAE AI infrastructure announcements
The 2025 partnerships described different projects and timelines, rather than one completed regional network.

Saudi Arabia and the UAE announced major AI infrastructure partnerships in May 2025. Reading the project terms gives a clearer picture than treating every investment headline as capacity already available.
Two announced projects
NVIDIA and HUMAIN described plans for AI facilities in Saudi Arabia with projected capacity of up to 500 megawatts over five years, powered by NVIDIA GPUs [1].
OpenAI's Stargate UAE announcement described a one-gigawatt cluster in Abu Dhabi, with an initial 200 megawatts expected to go live in 2026. It named G42, Oracle, NVIDIA, Cisco and SoftBank as partners [2].
These were project plans with different organizations, scopes and schedules. They do not by themselves prove which country will lead a market or how much usable capacity exists today.
Follow delivery as well as investment
For a team considering regional infrastructure, the useful questions are operational: where will the workload run, which service can be purchased, when is capacity available and what rules apply to the data?
An investment announcement can help identify projects to follow. Product documentation, contracts and confirmed deployment updates are needed before depending on one for a production workload.
