Understand the links between AI funding and purchases
An infrastructure partner can also be an investor; each transaction still has its own terms and milestones.

AI infrastructure announcements can connect the same companies through both investment and purchasing. NVIDIA's September 2025 announcement paired intended investment in OpenAI with planned deployment of NVIDIA systems. [1]
AMD's October agreement included a warrant for OpenAI to acquire shares as specified deployment, commercial and share-price milestones were met. [2]
Why the direction of each transaction matters
Buying computing capacity, investing in a company and receiving a right to acquire shares are different transactions. A single headline about a funding loop can obscure those differences.
The original social post described a trillion-dollar loop. These examples show overlapping commercial relationships, but they do not verify that headline total or prove that every transaction represents the same money moving around.
Read the underlying terms
For each relationship, ask who pays whom, what is delivered, what remains conditional and when a commitment becomes an actual transaction. Avoid counting a financing announcement and a purchase commitment as if both were independent customer demand.
This is a way to read the announcements accurately. It does not establish fraud or predict whether the investments will succeed.
