What C2S-Scale predicted about cancer cells
Google and Yale reported laboratory validation of a cell-level hypothesis, not an established patient treatment.

Google and Yale's C2S-Scale work produced a hypothesis about making cancer cells more visible to the immune system. Google's 2025-10-15 announcement described a 27-billion-parameter model and laboratory experiments supporting that prediction. It did not establish an effective treatment for patients. [1]
Follow the prediction to the experiment
The model proposed that silmitasertib could increase antigen presentation in a particular immune context. Antigen presentation is a process through which cells display signals that immune cells can recognize. Researchers tested the proposed combination with low-dose interferon in human neuroendocrine cell models and reported increased presentation. [1]
The announcement explicitly described further preclinical and clinical validation as necessary. A result in living cells is evidence for a research lead, and patient safety and benefit require additional evidence. [1]
The useful scientific sequence is visible here: generate a specific hypothesis, define the conditions under which it should hold, and test those conditions experimentally. Keep that sequence intact when summarizing an AI discovery.
